Key features of 'spider' MEWPs

Low overall weight

Spiderlifts rely on their outriggers for stability when operational at height, rather than large counterweights. This means the overall platform weight can be reduced, enabling them to access areas where conventional platforms cannot.

Tracked Chassis

The low gross weight of a spidermewp is efficiently  distributed further thanks to the tracked chassis. This makes them ideal for working on rough terrain or delicate floors.

Compact dimensions

The compact dimensions of spiderlifts often allow them to enter buildings through standard single doorways, this makes them ideal for atrium works, theatres, shopping centres and sport arenas.

Low ground pressure

Thanks to the outriggers and tracked chassis, spidermewps exert very low ground pressures making them perfect for working on delicate floors where the loadings must remain minimal. The floor loading can be reduced further by using spreader pads.
