Theres many reasons to consider undertaking a roof clean on your property.

At Up & Out Platforms we undertake roof cleaning via moss removal and application of a biocidal wash which enables your roof to be cleaned without the need for aggressive pressure washers. This method of cleaning is not as instant as pressure washing the roof, however this approach doesn't blow out damaged tiles or force water into the loft space from excessive pressure.

Step 1: Moss Removal
We access the roof via our range of specialist access platforms, this ensures that no one is physically on the roof. This reduces the risk of damage to the roof tiles by not walking on them.
Using specialist scraping tools, the visible moss gets removed from the tiles and heavy build up areas such as valleys.
The moss is then removed and vacuumed from the gutters and the roof given a final blow off before step 2.
Step 2: Biocidal Wash
A biocidal wash is then applied to the roof via a combination of spray applicators and brushes.
Fascias & soffits are then rinsed down.
Step 3: Wait for results
Now we let nature do the rest. Through a combination of sun, rain & wind the biocidal was gets soaked up into the roof tiles, this kills the remaining moss spores and lichen. Over the next few months the roof will gradually "self" clean and the original tile colour gets restored.
